Floating Bridge Floats Off-center
The floating rosewood bridge on these archtops can “float” and mess up the intonation. We gave this guitar a top-level set-up and got it back in action.
Blueprint For Cool Jazz
Gretsch manufactured the Heritage Series from 1999-2004 based on the classic archtop jazz guitars of the 1940s. This is a hollow body archtop made of maple with a rosewood fretboard and floating bridge. The Gretsch G3900 is a funky instrument suitable for songwriting or small jazz combos. Thanks for letting us set her up and back in action, Tom!
