Classic Cream lives in The Fool II, a road-ready replica guitar that conjures the spirit of Eric Clapton’s “The Fool.”
ONE FOOL, TWO FOOLS
Earlier this year, Rocco and I finally finished the Fool tribute guitar, our first Fool road-ready replica guitar. The guitar, which pays tribute to the classic psychedelic axe Eric Clapton played during his days with Cream, drew a lot of attention. It was sold to a friend of my brother, who told me. “Make more! Make one for your brother!”
So Rocco and I did.
The Fool II road-ready replica guitar is also known as “Michael’s Fool.” Unlike the first version we built, this version features a bolt-on neck. Otherwise, this guitar is pretty close to Clapton’s original, albeit with a different paint and finish. One thing is for sure — the IYG Fools are brighter and more vibrant looking instruments than Clapton’s hand-painted original!
FOOLS BEGET FOOLS
Rocco and I will make two more Fools this year. One has already been promised to a player in Venice, Italy. The other? Maybe it’s your guitar!
